Hi, I am trying to run multiple instances of windows vista in one host computer with multiple ips.

Hardware: 2 quad proc, 4 to 8 gb of memory, dual nic

Notice that i don’t want to run windows server 2003 or 2008 just vista for testing purposes.

Thanks for any insight.

I researched virtual pc but that is more of a xp instance on a vista running computer.

Windows 7 and Windows Vista are two separate Operating Systems. Virtual PC has always worked fine for me. As Vista has been around for more than two years, not sure what you are testing for

You can use Virtual PC SP1 to run Server 2003 or 2008 inside XP or Vista. Only real way to do it other then partitioning your drive.

You can have different internal IPs but not external.

And Vista is NOT 7.
