FIRST OF ALL I would like to let you all know that I can not log on to my Windows 7 in any way: Safe mode, normal mode, none worked. I am running Splashtop Browser (and browsing is all I can do right now) from my Vaio laptop, which gives me the same error for EVERY application/exe file that I try to run in Windows 7, and that includes CMD.exe.

Okay so I installed a custom Logon background with an application from deviantART (I forgot which, itÅ› on my Windows 7) a few days ago. Everything worked fine. Today I downloaded visual styles and installed those styles with Theme Manager [http://bickelk.deviantart.com/art/Theme-Manager-Windows-7-176165228] which I used for about a month without problems.

Today I installed a lot (I cant remember the names of the themes) and it gave me an error telling me to restart my laptop.

And then I did.

But now, every time I try to boot my laptop and the logon screen appears, it gives me the following error: LogonUI.exe application error
The instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be written. Click OK to terminate the program

And thatÅ› all. I cant access Windows 7 in any way as I said- my only access to the internet right now is through Splashtop Browser. PLEASE HELP. :(

I have:
Vaio VPCEB11FX Laptop
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit
7600 Build I think.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.pchealthcleaner.net

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

reinstalling or repairing Windows 7 would put you away from your misery. Follow the path:

1. Start Windows 7, and log on to an administrator account.

2. Disable any 3rd party firewall, antivirus, or other security program to avoid it from possibly preventing the repair upgrade installation of Windows 7.

3. Place your Windows 7 installation DVD into the DVD drive, while still in Windows 7 (Step 1), and click on the Run setup.exe option in the AutoPlay window from within the currently installed Windows 7.

4. If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes. what is UAC ---> How to Change UAC Notification Settings in Windows 7

information Information

When turned on, User Account Control helps prevent potentially harmful programs from making changes to your computer in Windows 7 by notifying and asking you for permission before letting the program run or install.

This will show you how to change the User Account Control (UAC) for when to be notified about changes to your computer. For more detailed information about UAC. See microsoft site.

5. Click on the Install Now button to start the installation.

6. Uncheck the I want to help make Windows installation better box and click on the Go online to get the latest updates for installation option.

7. Check the I accept the license terms box and click on Next.

8. Click on the Upgrade option.

9. The installation of Windows 7 will now begin. NOTE: During the installation process, your screen may flash and computer will restart a few times.

10. After the final restart, you will see this screen for a moment.

11. Type in your Windows 7 product key number.

12. Uncheck the Automatically activate Windows when I'm online box unchecked, then click on the Next button. NOTE: You can activate Windows 7 later after you make sure it is running properly. If you chose to automatically activate Windows online when you set up your computer, automatic activation begins trying to activate your copy of Windows three days after you log on for the first time.

13. Click on Use recommended settings.

14. Select your time zone and set your time and date settings, then click on the Next button.

15. Click on the option for your computer's location to select the correct network location type settings to be applied for that location. NOTE: It is best to select Public location for the best security.

16. Windows 7 will now prepare your desktop to startup.

17. Check to see if you are missing any user files. If you are, then you can copy them from the C:\Windows.old or the hidden protected operating system C:\$INPLACE.~TR and C:\WINDOWS.~Q backup folders.

18. If everythig checks out in step 17, then you can run Disk Cleanup . You will need to click on the Clean up system files button first, and then check the Files discarded by Windows upgrade, Previous Windows installations, and Windows upgrade log files boxes. NOTE: This will delete the C:\Windows.old, C:\$INPLACE.~TR and C:\WINDOWS.~Q folders from step 17 above.

19. Refresh your Windows Experience Index (WEI) score.

20. When done, all you will need to do is to activate Windows 7, and make sure that your security programs are enabled again.
