How do I transfer movies, photos and iMovie projects to a new mac?

I have got a new macbook air and need to know if it impossible to transfer movies, photos and iMovie projects to it from our family iMac. I have managed to connect the two computers to transfer my iTunes music but really need the pictures and movies! Thank you so much xxx

On the old Mac, open the Finder > Applications, and look in the Utilities Folder for the Migration Assistant App.



Then, run it, and choose "From another Mac", and make sure that your old Mac, AND your Air, is connected to your network's Router, using an Ethernet Cable(s) (<> $ 5 at most computer stores). And, just follow the step by step instructions.



Later you can use WiFi, instead of the cables, if your Router supports it.

With the iMac and MacBook Air being connected have you enabled sharing and chosen the appropriate configuration for sharing. If not you may also want to give it a try.

i totally agree with the guy who said mac users are dumb



but i think the guy was asking "automatic" wise

im not a mac user but my mom is and im sure you have to use MobileMe or something

and you should also probably ask an applestore dude if u can do that with mobileme

Get a portable hard drive or a data key and transfer manually or!



Setup apple talk and share the stuff to your new over priced laptop.



Useless rich people...can't wait to get rid of them all.

when you save the action picture in iMovie, circulate to document > share. Then go with the QuickTime tab (oftentimes is the default determination). substitute "Compress action picture for:" to "CD-ROM" and then click "share" or substitute it to expert Settings. Then click share. you will get a window the place you could decide for the export determination including "action picture to Flash video" or "action picture to MPEG-4". To the terrific suited of that, click "ideas..." you could substitute the ideas and notice the size indexed under. maximum CDs will carry 700MB.
