If you are making a logo, try learning the pen tool, the logo will then be a vector object and a custom shape (if you like). Vectors retain their sharp edges when expanded and in that sense are far more practical to use.

I tend to work at 300dpi and use a nice white background to work on, something like 1024x768 pixels. But that's me and my preferred method. I usually design basic stuff for website pages.

I'm sure others will have suggestions.

maximum probable criminal is that your circulate isn't set to a hundred%. The residences for the comb gadget contain Opacity and circulate. For stable strains, be certain the two are set to a hundred%. If that may not it, then examine to make certain that Mode is set to commonly used. If none of that works, examine to work out what brush you're using. click the comb drop right down to alter the comb and/or use the comb palette. some brushes are created in specific to imitate spray paint, blades of grass, etc. those brushes intentionally do no longer create stable strains. finally, if all else fails, then probable you have replaced the comb Presets interior the comb Palette. i could prefer to understand what settings are chosen there earlier i might desire to confirm a restoration.

Use your bracket keys to increase or decrease the size of your brush.
