I was just rolling around the interwebz when out of no where antispyware soft comes up... It kept shooting pop-ups at me, claiming that my computer was infected, which made me experience my fair share of freak-outs. So my first thought was, "when in doubt, google it!" Turns out that it's making my IE fail. So here I am, running firefox, checking around for it on my computer... I can't seem to find it anywhere, and the pop-ups and everything that came with it seem to be gone. The only problem is, now IE still isn't working. I try to open it and it says, "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection." So now I'm just wondering if this is a byproduct of the antispyware soft program, and if it is, how do I fix it? (I'm running windows 7 by the way)

Here are instructions for removing it:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivirus-soft

Scroll down the page until you see this heading and follow the instructions:

"Automated Removal Instructions for Antivirus Soft using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:"

Have fun killing this bastard malware...

As far as fixing IE, it may be that whatever caused the popups to stop is also blocking the proxy site, thereby causing the problem. Clear the proxy (in the instructions above) and that should solve that bit of the puzzle...

Step by step instructions for FREE removal of AntiSpyware Soft.

1. Restart your computer. As your computer restarts but before Windows launches, tap "F8" key constantly. Use the arrow keys to highlight the "Safe Mode with Networking" option and then press ENTER.

2. Open Internet Explorer. Click on the Tools menu and then select Internet Options.

3. In the the Internet Options window click on the Connections tab. Then click on the LAN settings button.

4. Now you will see Local Area Network (LAN) settings window. Under Proxy Settings, click the Advanced button, and delete the IP address listed there, and press OK. Uncheck the checkbox labeled Use a proxy server for your LAN under the Proxy Server section and press OK.

5. Download SuperAntiSpyware Free edition at http://www.superantispyware.com/ . Perform a quick scan and quarantine everything. It will tell you it has to reboot which is fine to do in normal mode this time.

6. Now back in normal mode, run SAS again, this time doing a complete scan. You should now be rid of this annoying malware. Quarantine anything it finds, and then go to your quarantine log and remove (delete) all quarantined items.

7. Sometimes the trojan that installed this annoying thing also installs a browser hijacker which will cause google and yahoo search items to mysteriously redirect to advertised sites. The only way to get rid of this was with Combofix which you can find at http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe .

Download this and run it (have patience).

8. Many antivirus applications that failed to detect this thing in the first place (I use AVG) become inactivated by the virus and may need to be reinstalled. I recommend a complete uninstall/reinstall to make sure that it's back working again.

Try using Malwarebytes AntiMalware (which is designed to detect and remove such fake/rogue antimalware) to completely remove the infection.

1. It can be downloaded for free from:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

2. Install it,

3. Run a full scan (preferably in Safe Mode*)

4. Remove whatever it detects.

*If you don't know how to get into safe mode:

1. Reboot (if it's running) / Start your computer.

2. As soon as it turns on (before getting into Windows), press the F8 (or F5 if it doesn't work) key repeatedly, until a menu appears.

3. Choose safe mode.

Hope this helps & good luck.

your antispyware is too strong. Please uninstall it and delete the every file completely from your computer. And download another anti-virus software and try it. Some times the anti-virus will bring virus and delete clean file ... it think some files are virus so delete them unconsciously
