I am typing a cookbook in Microsoft Word, and both 1/2 and 1/4 fractions automatically format themselves, but 1/3 does not, how do I add it so that it will change automatically too?

Everything I find says it should already

type in 2153 then without spacing push alt+X, not every font has it, but the common ones do

Unfortunately, MS has only done formatting for common fractions like 3/4 1/2 and 1/4. There is no option to add more fractions.

However, if you want all of them to look alike you can remove fraction formatting

On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options, and then click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.

Uncheck 'Fractions (1/2)...." and click Ok

Or if you are ready to spend some time... Check this out !!

I tried this too and got the same result. I'll keep looking.
