Question:
Please help me open this .pdf attachment!?

I have been requesting information from several different venues for weddings (for a friend) and everyone has sent me attachments with all the information via email. When I try to open the attachments it says something about encoding and then just shows a bunch of jiberish... I asked my dad and he explained it needed to be opened and read through adobe/acrobat. I've been trying, I do have the program, but I have no idea how to get it to open through there. It keeps opening with Microsoft Office.. Can someone help please! Step by step directions for us non-computer saavy people! Thank you!

instead of opening the attachment, save it first. anywhere on your computer, C drive, desktop whatever. then go to the file icon and right click. select open with and then find Adobe in the list of programs that comes up.

Somehow you're file associations have gotten messed up and assigned a Microsoft Office program (probably Word or PowerPoint) to open PDF files.

If you really have Acrobat Reader installed, then do the following.

1. Make sure that you have downloaded the attachments.

2. Right-click one of the attachments.

3. Select the "Open With" menu item.

4. Select the "Choose Program" option

5. If Adobe Acrobat Reader is one of the program options listed, choose that.

6. IMPORTANT: Be sure to check the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file".

7. If Acrobat wasn't listed, then you'll need to click the "Browse" button and navigate your way to the Adobe Acrobat program executable. It will most likely be in

c:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat\Acroread.exe

For what it's worth, I've mostly given up on Acrobat and switched to Foxit Reader. It's smaller, faster and less likely to have it's security holes exploited. It's free. Google it.

This may be the way:

1. Right-click on the attachment that you want to open.

2. A menu should pop-up. Select "OPEN WITH"...then "CHOOSE PROGRAM"

3. Here select Adobe Reader.

Although, this doesnt make sense to me, because if the file is a .pdf then it should automatically open with adobe. Make sure what kind of file extension this document was saved as.

Ok, what you can do instead of opening it, hit save and save it in a place where you know you can find it. After that, right click the file in your documents, click open with..., and then pick the program on the list that you want to open it with. Hit Ok and then it should work. I'm sorry if I didn't answer what you were looking for.

Right-click the file, then open with... > Adobe Reader. If it's not on the list, then choose Choose Program... and choose Adobe Reader.

whenever you put in photograph Zone, you probable did a common setting up at which element it took possession of PDF information. to resolve the challenge, save a PDF record out of your email to the laptop. real click the record and decide open with... from there opt for Adobe Reader, and ensure you click the field on the backside that pronounces continually.... Then any further, it iwll open them out of your OE.
