To run an iso you have a few choices:
1. Use a cd or dvd burning software such as Nero to burn the image to a disc. This will actually create the entire contents of the disc on the burned disc in a perfect match. You can then just insert the CD or DVD into the drive and it will be recognized as a normal CD or DVD.
2. You can use a piece of software called Daemon-Tools (or anything out there that also performs drive virtualization) to create virtual disc drives on your machine. These are recognized as real physical drives by your computer but only exist as software. You can then "mount" the ISO image to one of these drives and it will react as if an actual cd was place inside that drive.
3. You can use a tool such as IsoBuster to actually break open the ISO file and take a peak at what is inside and work with it that way. I don't typically recommend this method for novices however.

you cannot run an ISO. An ISO is an image. Therefore you must copy this image onto a cd to use the content in the ISO. Below is the link that will burn an ISO to CD/DVD

iso is a disk image file, you mount images on virtual drives with programs like power iso or daemon tools
or you can burn the iso file onto a cd, and it runs when you put the cd in.

I always burn an ISO to CD and then use it. I know there are ways of mounting virtual drives and doing it, but seems a lot easier to just use Nero or Sonic and burn the image to cd.
