I want to put a couple of PC's in my shop to offer internet access to the public. How can I control that they use only the time they pay for?? any help would be appreciated!!

If you throw GNU/Linux, you can have a guest account. as a root user you can specify anything on the user accounts. If you use a distribution such as Mandriva, this will already be ready for use.

You can do anything with it. Temporarily suspend user accounts, automatic log out after a given ammount of time, limit the access that user has on the computer (although this is pretty much set up already) Anything you want the user to do or to not do, you have the freedom.

You can, but you would need to buy a server that is connected to all the computers, and a special program that monitors the time. It will then give a warning of how much time is left, and then turn the computer asleep once time expired
