No, there is no way in excel to do that. But I get the feeling that is not what you actually want to do. There IS a way to do whatever it is you really want. What do you need 3 rows in 1 for?

What are you trying to do? If you create three rows, then the result won't be a single row, it will be three. Are you trying to create three rows of text in one cell? You can do that by manipulating text size and (in format cells) text control - wrap text.

From your question It seems is not possible.

But to have three in one, do the following steps:-

Shadowed the first three cells A1,A2 and A3, then Merge Cells. the result will be three rows in one.
