i have a mac os x 10.4.10 and i wanted to run windows xp on it... i also have parallels 3.0 installed...
do i need a cd of windows xp to run it on mac?
or does mac have windows pre-built in it somehow?
my friend told me some macs have windows built-in on it.

Hi, you will need the Windows Xp cd. You can either use parallels or boot camp, thats up to u.

Your friend is wrong my friend. There’s no Mac that come with XP prebuilt in, unless you buy from someone that install XP in it. And yes you need to have the CD to install XP.

You need the installation disc of XP with service pack 2 on it.

As stated before, you can use bootcamp or parallels, however, you need an intel based Mac...the G4's or G5's will not run windows (but there is a Windows emulator for them, I forgot the name though).

Yes you need an xp cd.
