Internet browsers not working in latest Windows 8 update?

Since a Windows 8 update occurred a few days ago, my internet browsers have not been working effectively. Clearing cache and/or history does not resolve the problem.

1) Google Chrome does not load any pages at all, except (chrome://) pages. Going to any website will give you a "Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out." error message. Chrome does not work in Windows 8 mode or desktop mode, or incognito mode, either.

2) Internet Explorer 10 also does not load any pages at all, and instead gives me an eternally spinning loading circle.

3) Firefox is the best working browser at the moment, but it also is experiencing problems. Pages are not loading completely - for example, not loading any flash objects and thus giving you a very basic looking HTML appearance. (Likely unrelated side effect - browser freezes completely when trying to install Flash plugin update)

If there is a way this can be fix, that would be great.

I guess its really up to you if you want to theres no real need as far as I know. I still have IE6 because I rarely use IE only when firefox loads websites majorly slow do I use it. Pretty sure its not a necessity.
