How to remove audio track from media file

Quite often while we edit a media clip it is necessary to delete audio tracks from input file and get only video stream as an output.

This task can be made with SolveigMM Video Splitter in three simple steps.

SolveigMM Video Splitter supports AVI(*.avi), WMV (*.wmv), ASF (*.asf ), MPEG-2 (*.mpg,*.vob,*.mpeg) video files, but in this article we are going to use that as AVI splitting tool

You can very comfortably remove the audio from the video. If you are using Windows, try VirtualDub. You have to download the following website http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ and home page http://www.virtualdub.org/ The windows have released the package “VirtualDub-1.6.14.zip”. You have to download and unzip the .zip file into a new folder. Then run virtualDub.exe. In VirtualDub’s “File” menu, select “Open video file”, and open the .avi file. In VirtualDub’s “Audio” menu, select “No audio”. In VirtualDub’s “Video” menu, select “Direct stream copy”. In VirtualDub’s “File” menu, select “Save as AVI.” Now you have to enter a new name and save the file again.
