And of course it says remove Pulseaudio. Back then of course a good pseudonym for pulseaudio was abomination ("From beasties and ghosties and pulseaudio, Good Lord Preserve Us") but it's improved so much I've had installations I had to be told to take it off. When we look at your page it comes down to sound.cpp same as on the ibex page.
