There is a good uninstaller called Revo which is free. It uninstalls the program and then cleans up all the leftover registry items. First uninstall WMP 11 completely and then download and reinstall the program.

This is how to fix the problem. Go to Control Panel>Add or remove Programs uninstall WMP 11. Restart your PC and re install WMP 11 again. You will not loose any of your files or folders. Internet Explorer 7 has a habit of doing the same thing and it's the same fix for that as well.

Cheers.

Go into Add/remove programs and uninstall WMP 11. Once this is done, reboot your system. When it restarts you should be left with an earlier version of WMP. Now install the latest version of WMP 11 (best if you get it from windows update site). This should clear up your install problem.

You have to be careful when you delete as when you go from media player 10 to media player 11 it upgrades ,therefore combining using same components.Try system restore. If still a problem Id got to microsoft and try to download media palyer 9 . then goto updates and let it upgrade to 10 then ending in 11. Hope it helps you! Remember to not delete but rather uninstall.Less problems.....

Why can't you reboot your computer ? this is a very important issue ... ? whenever you wan to install or uninstall a program, it's recommended to restart your PC.
