?

HI everyone, my problem is simple: I am Italian but I am working in China so the keyboard here (US style) does not have some special characters we need for Italian like è or à. I can input them easily when using Word cause I can select the input method for symbols, for example I set ALT+a for à. My question is can I do this for the whole of Windows? So for example wherever I input ALT+a I get à? There is a setting for this somewhere? Thanks a lot!

2 options:

1. Change keyboard layout to Italian version @ Control Panel > Regional and Language > Keyboards and Languages.

or

2. Get it from Character Map @ Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools

Hope this helps! Cheers!

Hi, I think you can do this for the whole of Windows.

I use Window 7 too, and I input with Microsoft word 2010 and the keyboard also US style.

So

for example: C’è

The key which in the left second to the ‘backspace’ key = ‘

The key { = è

Besides,

Shift + { = é

\ = ù

‘ = à

; = ò

Try by yourself, you will find more.

And if you still cannot input those special characters, please go to http://www.tudou.com/groups/posts1771837p1.html That is my group, I will teach you by pictures.

BTW:

for you said you are working China, so if you are in Beijing and want to learn Chinese in professional ways, you can go to Elite Learning. they have Chinese Course to foreigners now. you can call 010-59359595-0 or go to http://elitelearning.5d6d.com/forum-4-1.html get more information. Or you can leave me a message.

Hope my answer is useful~~

specific it somewhat is accomplished, yet you will might want to configure it making use of MS word (a minimal of that i'm effective of). so which you will want first look to artwork out that the character isn't in the know-how checklist of specific characters. it is mostly have been given right here upon by making use of going to "insert", "photograph" after which you scroll to seem on your character. in lots of cases, the characters already comprise their keyboard shortcut. so which you would be waiting to the two be taught that, or create yours by making use of clicking on the shortcut button and choosing the keys you want for the shortcut. Then insert ... and you're accomplished. regrettably, if the character you want isn't there ... then i somewhat do no longer be attentive to what you're waiting to do then.
