If it is done by pixels could you also please tell me how many pixels I need to value say a 5x7?

I use IrfanView. You can get it free at http://www.irfanview.com/. It's relatively simple, just File>Open to select pic, then Image > Resize brings up your resize options. Resize options can be done in pixels, cm or inches. Hopefully someone else can elaborate more on resizing rules regarding pixels vs. inches etc, or suggest even easier programs. I am by no means computer saavy, which says alot for this program, I suppose, since I am able to use it!

Image resizing is a completely damaging system that alterations and/or deletes pixels from the photo, this cannot be undone if you retailer the alterations. If you did not keep a copy of the photo earlier than you resized it then you're out of success

If your using a photo printer,it should have a resizing option in the software, if you need to lower the resolution,open the picture in paint then "save as" from there,it will automatically lower the pixels..

there is a free photo editing program that can help you with this called gimp. http://www.gimp.org
