Powerpoint slide show.. help!?

Hi, Can anyone pls tell me how i can download powerpoint so my daughter can make a slide show. Ive got powerpoint viewer and powerpoint word. When we open this it rings me into documents to all the files that i have which need powerpoint to open them. Pls help....

If you want to create slide show you should download PowerPoint app, but you should buy it. Atternatively, you can use OpenOffice.

I don't believe there's an on-line location from which to buy and download the full PowerPoint application (and yes, you're right, you will need to do that). You'll have to buy a copy and install from the CD. The good news is that it isn't as expensive as it used to be ... I think I got my copy of Office 2007 (Student edition) from Costco for about $95, and that includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint (you may not need all three, but it's cheaper than buying separately).

Making a good slide show involves a lot of hard work, i know... but i do them just for fun! lol The best thing for a personal slide show like that is personal pictures. You have to find a way (digital camera) to get pictures of them, you, your siblings, pets, your house, family vacations, ect. on the slide show. Also don't just scatter pictures with text if you can help it, make the pictures the background, then use a text color that you can see on the picture (dark pics = white text). Hope this helped!! You could download Open Office. It has all the Microsoft type packages including slide show and it's free.
