I have Sid Meyers Gettysburg. I believe it was first intended for Win 95.
I get a error with Kernel32dll
I have used the compatability wizzard, but it has not been helpful

Firaxis corrected the Win9x hard-coding in Gettysburg! with the release of its Windows 2000/XP Update. The use of the Firaxis provided "Windows 2000/XP Update" also eliminates the need to use any type of 'compatibility mode' fixes for the executable LEE.EXE to have Gettysburg! function properly under Windows XP(SP2)

Firaxis continues to host a series of patches for "Sid Meier's Gettysburg!" at its own web-site, the Firaxis Download page:http://www.firaxis.com/games/downloads.php

Right-click the application or the short-cut to the application and select properties. Go to the "Compatibility" Tab. Check:"Run this program in Compatibility mode for:" and select Windows 95 from the drop-down menu. Click ok and see if that works, if not check more options.

Try running under the DosBox emulator: www.dosbox.com

Older games get their DOS environment, and XP doesn't need to worry about providing that compatibility.
