Open MS Excel.

Select cell A1.

In the menu File > Page Setup > Page and select

Portrait or Landscape

Then Press Sheet in the Page Setup > Check Gridlines.

Go to the sheet 1. Select area of First Page.

Press CTL P.

Check the radio Button under Print What.

Press OK.

You will get the blank worksheet as desired.

Just printing a blank sheet probably will not work because there is no data in any of the fields. So, this is what I'd do:

1.Go to FILE>PAGE SETUP. Click on the SHEETS tab. Click the checkbox that says ROW AND COLUMN HEADINGS.

2. Click and drag your cursor to highlight the cells that you would like to print.

3. In the FORMAT menu, you can go to CELLS and choose the BORDER tab.

4. Click on the OUTLINE box once, then click on the INSIDE box. You should see a reflection on this in the preview box below.

5. Look at it in a PRINT PREVIEW mode and see if that's what you're after.

You might need to experiment with the PORTRAIT and LANDSCAPE view depending on the dimensions of your spreadsheet.

NOTE: The menu options I spoke of might be in different places that what I described because I am using Office 2003. Nevertheless, the fundamentals are the same.

Good Luck!

On a blank sheet

go down 60 or more lines and enter any random text in a cell.

Go to File, Page setup and Sheet.

Put ticks in Gridlines and Row and column headings

Print preview to check that the text is not in the first page.

You cannot print out a completely blank sheet because you will get a message to say nothing to print so, as one person I think has already advised, if you go down to perhaps A100 and just type anything in it, then go to your page set up, sheet tab, put a tick against grid lines and also row and column headings and set up any header or footer you want. Now select cells A1 to say L70, having set your page to landscape, fit to 1 page by 1 page, go to Print, set print area if pre 2007 or if 2007 print selection. If this does not work why not just put a full stop in one cell, you can always ignore that in your print out, and just again set the print area.

Alternatively, if is easy enough to create a table in Word, 1st row being A-Z for column addresses, and first cell of each row numbers, set your page to landscape first of all, margins1cm all round so you have a wider table and set up for 15 columns and 15 rows, setting row height to .7cm exactly.

This worked for me on a spreadsheet:

Scroll down to about 150 lines

click on a cell/box

then go up and click on "home"

the icon that looks like a paint pot, (not the one next to it) click on this and click on black

next click on page layout

make sure only Gridlines is ticked

click on print preview and your lines should be there

then click print

then go back to spreadsheet and delete the black cell and save
