Missing mss32.dll on Call of duty 4!?
?

I i downloaded the mss32.dll and put it in System 32 but that didnt work so then i put it in the place where the .exe file for the game was and then it said this :

The procedure entry point_AIL_set_speaker_configuration@16 could not be located in dynamic link library mss32.dll.

What does that mean and how to i fix it!!

And when i went to "run" and typed in CMD, then regsvr32 "filename".dll, this came up :

The module "mss32.dll" may not be compatabile with the version of windows that your running. Check if the module is compatabile with an x86 (32 bit) or x64 (64 bit) version oof regsvr32 .exe.

WHAT does that mean!

Please help. I am running 64 bit Windows 7............

Hi

The problem is caused because you don't have a updated directx package.

You have to download the latest directx update>> install it.

After it, uninstall your COD4 and install it again.

Your .dll related problem will be fixed.

I had the same problem and I fixed it by running a compatibility check on the application in the cod folder NOT the desktop shortcut. It should be run as an administrator and in compatibility mode for windows xp SP3
