What is a .rar file type?

On the modthesims2.com when i download stuff it doesnt work.. because it has a .rar file type, How do i get it to work? do i have to download something?

Thats a WinRAR file .... try to learn something when you face aproblem even in gaming .... everyone know what is .rar

download and unzip it...

A rar file is a compressed file to make it small and easy to send or transfer . there is many programs out there to do this job . but i have put a link in here for you for one of the easy one all you do is click your mouse on the file and drag it to this icon and it will unrar it for you .

.rar file type is like .zip type so just download winrar and install it in your computer and decompress the file with it



and .rar file type compresses any files
