We have a spreadsheet that we use to record every time someone forgets their employee badge and is several thousand entries long. How can I make excel count each unique entry and record the number of occurrences in another column?

i would probably make a template and pivot table.

clinkys suggestion on the countif() will work.

if you have a master list of unique badge numbers, then countif() is exactly the formula you need.

if you dont have the master list handy, then you would put the countif() inside an if() statement.

a formula really depends on how your data is setup.

of direction all of them count style, it rather is consenting intercourse. i assume a reliable handbook line is that if a guy.... or lady, gets into your knickers and starts to get you aroused (stepped forward foreplay i assume) then it rather is a sturdy element to assert you have had a sexual adventure - intercourse. yet having pronounced that it relies upon on the way you sense approximately your self and how reliable your character is. having pronounced that, once you're a sort of non secular nuts they have in usa then kissing is in all hazard finished intercourse and a sin which would be punished by utilising the hearth's of eternal damnation lol. yet interior the actual international i assume what I wrote above is a sturdy handbook.

use "countif" expression.

at bottom of column where the data is recorded and type

=countif(b2:aa2="yes")

this is if data is in column2 rows b through aa and that the response for forgotten card is YES. you just change what is between the " " marks

in excel sheet, at right corner down, you will find Num. right click on it, and check count
