I downloaded the latest Ubuntu release from the website. I tried Linux Live USB drive creator and did all the steps. I booted my computer from USB and all that came up was a black screen with the words "Boot Error". That is All! I tried UNetbootin and the same thing happened. How do i get this to work? I have all the sys. req. What do I do? any answer worth trying is appreciated!

Download an Ubuntu standard CD ISO file and burn that on a disk!!

when done, bootup your computer with and wipe off your harddrive and do a clean install!!

Note: if you don't know how to use Linux, I'll recommend you, leave it and install a Microsoft OS!!

so u said"How do you know boot viruses are there? And I wouldn't know. I haven't used Linux yet. It won't install. And Microsoft sucks. It is the worst!"

dear friend this happened to me also. i think you have downloaded the ubuntu from the website. always remember that when we download any operating system from a website we must always check 'md5 checksum' as the ubuntu server collapses with any other virus server. i also not check md5 sum and because of linux mint, my system crashed. i got boot viruses. it wouldn't let me install any of the operating systms. so i went to a shop and he brang any quck heal malware removal hdd and cleaned my boot records. i lost all of my data! currently i am using BOSS LINUX wich is very much trustable but for your satisfaction you must check md5 checksum. and i am amazed that why you hate windows? use windowws 7; i will also use it. today computer geek will come and install a fresh copy of windows 7

good luck
