Question:
Will Windows 10 or any new Windows operating system feature speech recognition?

I know speech recognition is buggy. The computer may be confused very easily, and when the computer is confused it may not be able to be helped like people. Whenever you begin using the touchpad instead, any background noise may cause problems. Are you aware of Windows 10 or any newer version of Windows featuring speech recognition? If Windows 10 or any newer version of Windows will include speech recognition, I would like to write a report to suggest to Microsoft they ignore the new speech recognition technologies with valid reasons.

This is an example of mistyping my account name and failing to backspace it to correct it due to the computer becoming confused from speech recognition. (You would also need to tell the computer the number of characters to backspace, and your description longer than "Backspace" may not match the computer's databases.)
Speech recognition: My name is Anomymous backspace.
Keyboard and touchpad: My name is Anonymous.

(I named my account Anonymous because I had no idea what to name it.)

Speech recognition has been available in Windows for years. Text to speech and speech to text.

There have also been improved versions available as add-on applications.

Both the free version and the add-on apps are continually improving their recognition capabilities - so get the latest version you can.

It is available right now and has been available for years. However Dragon provides even better speech recognition than Microsoft. But Microsoft has also been steadily improving it over the years.

Nuance's Dragon NaturallySpeaking works far better than Windows (or even Mac) when it comes to something like this.

Here is a demo I created for a friend.

You don't need Dragon Medical (the one shown here). All you need is the Home version if you are going to use it for general writing (and homework). It's half off now this week.

Dragon Dictate is actually very good. You talk into it, and if there's anything wrong, you correct it manually and it re-learns. Our NHS uses a special Medical edition that knows medical terms. I very much doubt Microsoft will include it (or an any good version) for free.
