I don't have access to my Mac, but I have a flash drive with all my files on it and they won't work properly on this PC. When I try to open one, it opens in Word but just displays random symbols, not what's on the file. How can I solve this problem? Is there a way to convert them so I can view/edit them on the PC?

Can you be a bit more specific, like what's extension of the files in your flash drive and all that? If they are some general files like documents, you may be able to open them in Word. However, if they are some internal system files of Mac, they won't open in Windows. There is also chance that the files have been encrypted, you have got to decrypt them to view the original content.

If these video clips are in .mp4 format, you can directly import them to your Mac. And if your Mac can't support these video formats, advise you to convert them to your Mac playable video format. To put the video into final cut pro, you can convert the video to fcp .mov format. Here is a hd video converter which supports to convert video to final cut pro. You can have a try.

You have to save the document as a .rtf rich text format
