How can i force open system restore?

I am running windows xp pro build2600 and every time i try to open system restore it wont op i already used the "Run.." and entered this"%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe" and it wont open help please i know my computer and its getting ready to crash.

1) Start your computer to Safe Mode with Command Prompt logging on as an account with administrator rights.



2) Type %systemroot%system32 estore strui.exe and Enter at the command prompt to start the System Restore feature.





i suggest you to ignore the first step if you cannot restart.

to locate command prompt, it is at start>programs>accesories>command prompt

i think on mine when ur computer is starting up press f10 when it says the type of computer ur running for example....

Computer starts up....

"compaq"...f10!

make sure you do it then because you only have a few secs!
