I need something simple to let me remove the start and end of .mp4, .vob, and .mpg and also add images for a specified period of time. Is there anything out there that will do this? Windows Movie Maker will do what I want but it will only export it into a .wmv file.

Then convert your wmv file in to your required file by using TOTAL VIDEO CONVERTER..

OR Use Sony Vegas(Video Editing software) or another editing software

Download the free trial of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. It'll last for 30 days but i'm sure this will be sufficient for what you need to do. You may need to sign up to the Adobe.com website for this download to become available.
