I have a large capacity external hard drive and have lots of photos and videos on it but I would like to create folders and put the photos and videos in these folders. Could someone please explain how this can be done?

If you want to create folders in the External HDD then all you have to do is Right Click and select New -> Folder. Name the folder what ever you wish and then simply drag and drop whatever you want in that folder.

If you want the folders on your PC then do the same thing but make the new folders on the PC and drag the files from your HDD to the newly created folders on the PC.

Hope this helps! :)

It should work just like any other drive in your computer. Open "My Computer". Click on the external hard drive, then Right-Click on any empty space and a drop-down menu should appear. Put your pointer on "New" and wait for another menu to appear, Click on "Folder". That should do it :) Create as many folders as you want.

I assume you have your drive up & running. So...in Windows Explorer click on that drive to view the contents. Right click in that frame, go to new>folder, and give it a name. Drag & drop all yuor pics into that folder. You can make sub-folders in that new one (for "vacation", "school", whatever) so they'll be organized.

go into your drive through 'computer' or 'my computer', click on drive (:G - example) and go into that. then right click your mouse on the white blank bit, and click create new -> folder. then rename your new folder whatever you want. you can do that as much as you like!

then just drag and drop your photos and videos into the folders that you make.
