I am using the headset given to me with the software and have it plugged into the jack socket correctly - I have tried it set as "line in" and "mic" but neither seems to be particularly adept at hearing me. I Have read around 4-6 hours of training material and allowed the system to adapt itself, but still I encounter major problems when trying to dictate anything I have written myself (i.e. what the DNS software has to convert). I am becoming really despondant because DNS is supposed to be "all singing, all dancing" and yet I have used the Microsoft Voice Recognition software and it is marginally better at doing things but I bought Dragon based on the reviews by people with motor skills issues or who need to operate a computer primarily by using their voice. I have been diagnosed with a degenerative disease in my hands and it is very painful for me to type for extended periods of time (a major issue for me, because I am a writer).
If there is someone out there who can help me find out what it is that I am doing wrong, I would be extremely grateful.
