hi, i have small tetris game, i want to edit its high scores, but when i open it's .dat file i don't know how to edit it, as its with ASCII or what SOH DC4 NUL x SOH DC4 NUL There are plenty of these characters in that dat file, is it possible to edit this, or is there any program?

First, highlight it - CNTL-C and CNTL-V. This will make a copy of it.



Then right click on the file and choose Edit.



Honestly - you should go to odesk.com - and pay someone to do this.

Try an hexadecimal editor, but it's harder that what you think.



I remember years ago, I wrote a bmp extractor using TC 3.0 (so under DOS),

and that program was able to extract bmp's from windows files, it took me months to understand

how it was coded.

It is a binary file, to edit it you would need to be a programmer. One wrong click in the file and it will corrupt and no longer work.
