so me and my friends are working on making an album and I dont know how to make a cd label. what programs do i need and would i need a special paper or even a different printer to do it.

use nero. once you install it nero cover designer is installed also. if you want to make a cd label you need a cd label sticker. for the front and back covers it doesn't need to have a special paper it depends on you if you will give it as a gift.

Photoshop is always a reliable program when it comes to designing grapghic stuff, but then NeroBurning Rom has a CD Label creator with it.You can use it too.
An Inkjet printer would be enough to print the label out on a glossy paper, yeah it would do.

It is a great idea for you to make a cd label and it is very useful. It can even use for different special occasion . Making a slideshow or videos should be attractive and there are many ways to do it but all I can do to help you is try this website.
