I'll assume H Drive is:

A partition, if so then;

1. Create a new folder on your H Drive

a) To do this, Open My Computer

b) Open H Drive

c) Click File --> New --> Folder

d) Rename the folder to anything you like

2. Now, go to your C Drive

3. Select the files you want to copy, to select all press CTRL + A

4. Click on Edit --> Copy To Folder

5. A window pops up, select the new folder you created earlier

6. Click Copy

A Removable Drive, if so then:

1. Repeat instructions 1-6 from above.

A CDR/DVDR Drive, if so then (assuming you have Windows XP):

1. Repeat instructions 2-6 from above

2. Then, Open My Computer

3. Open H Drive

4. On the left pane, you should see a option that says "Write these files to CD"

5. Choose that option, make sure you have a blank CDR/DVR on your H Drive.

You could simply copy and paste, or open both drives in separate windows, then drag and drop. If the drive you copied/dragged from still shows the files, as long as they went to other drive ok (make sure it's not a shortcut!) you can then delete the file from the original drive.

If you are getting messages saying that your computer is low on memory it is referring to your RAM memory, not your hard drive capacity.

If your hard drive is full and if you have a cd rom, why don't you burn your pictures, and music and video files and save them on CD or DVD.

Also thumb drives are becoming pretty inexpensive if you have a USB ports you can plug it in there and store things on a 1 gb flash drive.

Right click and drag the files to H: Chose Move in the menu that pops up.

Be careful about what you move. Don't want any system or progam files. Only data like phots, video, MP3s, documents and things like that.

open two windows on your screen (with the different locations)and highlight the things you want to move and drag and drop

Keep in mind that you cannot move things ...that are installed programs or they won't work anymore.

go into

start>>control panel>> remove programs

and try to clean up some programs you don't need

also open up

My computer and right click on "c" drive and select properties ...to clean up drive

Good Luck Beth hmmmm Luckbeth that sounds funny

Select some file in the "C" drive. Cut it and paste it into the "H" drive.

Go to my computer icon. click the drive from which some contents are required to be shifted. select the folder or files which you want to shift. cut them by right clicking the mouse. click the destination drive and by right clicking the mouse, click paste. your job is done.

all you have to do is cut and paste

cut the stuff from the c: and paste it where ever you want in the h:

right click on whatever you want to move and click cut

then go into the location you want to move the folders to, right click any blank space and click paste

thats it

good luck
