Speaking from experience in recovering files, what you're requesting pretty much involves a hammer, screw driver, and belt sander. In short you must destroy the platters in the drive to do that.

after delete the file try to make some new file which is larger in size of the deleted file. If the deleted file is a video file then copy two new movie from a cd or dvd in the same drive because recovery softwares are used a technique which is called pencil copy style.

When a file stored in your hard drive the file is written data on the sector of the hard drive. when you delete the file some data copy are stayed on the hard drive like when you written something in a paper by a pencil then after you erase the data from the paper if you try you can read what you written in the paper file but if you write any thing over the paper again then you can not read what is readen in the paper before. I thin you can understand what I want to say.

So try to overwrite some new file in the same drive and you look no recovery software can recover a complete file which you deleted.

No, even the best consumer software, will not defeat the DOD Forensic recovery programs......the best bet by far is to break the hard drive apart, pull out the disc, and burn it in Muratic Acid, no joke .........I have seen lives destroyed over some innocent things done on their PCs that some of the best programs on the market claim to be at deleting of files, and law enforcement entities have these at their disposal.

Other than complete destruction of the hard drive NO way is perfectly safe. But the NSA (National Security Agency) file erase method is excellent.

Here for the program download.

NSA approved process is a seven-pass file erasure method. For normal file deletion operations the two-pass method should be sufficient, but if you want to thoroughly erase a file's contents before deleting it the NSA approved method may be used.

http://www.webroot.com just install windows washer, you get a 30 day free trial and do a guttman wash (which overwrites the file 35 times - very slow but should work).

Can i just ask out of curiosity, why or what type do you need to get rid of files THAT badly??

Simple solution:

Press & hold 'Shift' key and then 'Delete'.

This will delete the file permanently.

it depends on the type of data some ....files are so easily to recover and fined .... and some aren't .
