Why don't you use the trial for Sony Vegas for 30-days, THEN use Adobe for 30 more, then decide after following some teaching tutorials in youtube? I wouldn't download both trials at once as you would need the entire 30 days using one program at a time. Premier Pro is great but I think people have 2 editing programs, as some do things the other don't do as well for blending them together for different projects. If we all know what it is you will be editing, it would make it much easier to answer your question.
Also look at the website, the Vegas "Pro" version is not $80. & the one that is more basic has limitations that are not ideal. Some people get a basic version & learn it inside out, then move up to the pro, while others are certain they want the pro version right off the bat, knowing they intend to learn everything there is to know. I do think Vegas has more teaching tutorials in youtube making learning really great.
If you do get Sony Vegas I'd subscribe to this guy's channel, I learned a LOT following how to do stuff & he explains things better than a lot I've wasted time watching. I would get Vegas Pro for 30 days, then buy that one. Once you've learned it inside & out which should take you at least a year, then I'd get PP. again, depending on what it is you aim to do with it.

You know (adding to my answer) I think you should get sony vegas pro 12 discounted maybe on ebay, I'm seeing a LOT of complaints about version 13 (plus it's an unlucky number anyway). You can probably do everything in Vegas 12 pro I'm seeing it's $160 on ebay. I'd get that for SURE, then later after learning it, get pro 14 when it comes out, probably next year if you find you love it, or even wait until next year after learning 12, then consider what Adobe has compared to SV with the new pro. Yeah...absolutely for sure this is what I'd do.
