Is the Ubuntu GNOME easier to use than Kubuntu KDE?

Which Ubuntu is easier to use, the GNOME or the KDE which is Kubuntu? Are the Repositories and Packages for GNOME better than the KDE Packages? I am using Kubuntu and wanted to switch to Ubuntu, but I don't know if it is better or is Fedora Linux better than GNOME?

It comes down to personal preference.



Like you I also use Kubuntu, but I originally used Ubuntu. I didn't find any difficulty with either one; however, in the end I preferred KDE over GNOME, but that's just me.

why don't you first try it with the LiveCD or install Ubuntu / fedora on a virtual machine with virtualbox and give it a go?
