You can use the Cute PDF writer. It is free and fast and works great. Just download it from http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/Writer.asp

Download and install both the Cute PDF writer and the Free Converter (found on the left side of the page). Once you have these installed you can open word and choose file > print, then select "Cute PDF Maker" from the printer list. It will ask you where to place your file then you will have your pdf

Hey! That cute PDF writer sounds cool! But here I have an option to work online, just if you are in other person's computer or any other reason for which you won't like to wait to complete the installation:

I've just learned that from a website yesterday. You subscribe to it with a valid e-mail account (it's free) upload a Word file, and it sends to your mail the file converted to any of the next formats: PDF, DOC, ODT (OpenOffice text), SXW (OpenOffice text), RTF, HTML or text files (.txt). You can also edit and work files online in this web site.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1st: Enter to: www.zohowriter.com

2nd: DON'T login as demo user

3rd: Write your email Id (a valid email of your own)

4th: Write a Password.

5th: Check "I am a new user"

6th: Click "Sign In"

7th: On the web page shown, go to the upper part to your left and click IMPORT

8th: Search for the file in your computer.

9th: Click IMPORT (the blue button)

10th: Now you can see your document uploaded and shown in your monitor, over it there are many buttons to edit it (like in word). Now, over them search for "EMAIL" and click that link.

11th: Two options will appear. Choose "Email out".

THE NEXT MUST BE DONE IN THIS ORDER:

12th: Choose "ATTACHMENT"

13th: Choose the format in which you want to send it (PDF in your case)

14th: Click SEND

15th: Go to your mail.... Voila! There is it! :D (With no watermarks of course)

Hope it helps

Your best option for Word is a PDF print driver. CutePDF is one such free driver. Get it "http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp" for free. Remember to get the PostScript converter as well.

After the installation, you will see a new printer CutePDF. Print to that printer, and save the output to a file (PDF). You are set.

You should be able to download a pdf printer driver, check sourceforge. Also, you can open the file in Open Office (multi-platform program) and it has built in PDF exporting.

Go to http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp and download the program, it's free. Then, when you want to convert your *.doc into *.pdf, just go to "print" and select "cute PDF" as printer.
