FTP software for uploading to FTP server?

Question

Is there an FTP software that will continue uploading if internet disconnects?
I have been having problems with my ISP and router and i need an FTP software that can do it. I keep getting disconnected and I'm using the dreamweaver option... but just keeps disconnecting and lose all the uploaded work.

Isn't gonna happen. The FTP software uses the internet connection to upload the data - when the connection goes down ALL connections go down: HTTP, FTP, HTTPS, Gopher, Archie, etc.



If your connection goes down and you know it goes down, why not try to upload only a few items at a time?

Filezilla is a decent and free server utility for FTP that allows you to create users, passwords for said users, home directories for the users, you can set individual permissions, and limit access to certain folders. It will tell you when a user is connecting, what they are downloading, and if they upload anything as well as every console command they type in and send, so you know if they are trying to gain access to areas that they are not allowed in. The only thing I am not 100% sure on is if the program tracks IP address as well but I am fairly confident that it does. This is the best software I have used for FTP server purposes aside from doing a fresh install of either a linux OS of Windows Server 2003.

If you're looking for a free one...the best open source is FileZilla... you can download it for free.
