i have dual boot with windows vista home premium
i want to know the steps to uninstall the open solaris..
but the problem is that the drive alloted to open solaris is not visible in win vista..
please help

1. First, you'll need to boot from a CD with some type of partitioning program. I would recommend the GParted LiveCD, since it has an easy-to-use interface for deleting and resizing partitions.



2. Use the partitioning tool to delete any Solaris (probably ZFS) partitions.



3. Use the tool to resize the NTFS (Windows) partition back to the full size of the hard drive.



4. Reboot the computer with the Windows Vista DVD.



5. I can't remember the exact phrase since its been so long, but there should be an option "Repair Windows installation" and "Repair problems that prevent Windows from booting." This step is necessary, since installing OpenSolaris would have overwritten the MBR and render Vista unable to boot without a proper GRUB menu list (which is on the Solaris partition).
