Every icon on CD rom drive is covered by icon of internet explorer?

This problem drives me nuts, every icon on my cd drive is covered by internet explorer icon, and the original icon of the file appears under this icon, this is a link to a picture of this problem

not sure if this is what you want.

you can change the icon that shows on your desk

top and files by~

download "foldericonizer!(free)

run it

it is in 3 easy steps.

1 make a new file folder (right click on desktop >new>folder

name folder~drop folder on iconizer menu

acknowledge name on drop down

2choose an icon click there are some icons in program

click on icon>save.

3 iconise folder

put your IE folder/s in it

repeat for all folders.

you can get other icons there are 1,000's of free ones to download.

from aadvark to zebra and animals to zen.

type "free icons" in your browser.

2 are "crystalxp" and "deviantart"

just download ~extract all files~ico or windows are the least trouble.

drag and drop onto the choose an icon window

not 100 percent but im pretty sure that your default program for opening things on a cd got set to internet explorer try going into my computer then right click the cd drive go to properties and check the autoplay settings and set correctly

i have same problem and i can solve it by software TUNE-UP UTILITIES 2007 or 2008



when you install this software go to:

Customize Analyze => TuneUp System Control => Correct Problems



and click NEXT then check all problem check boxes an click NEXT.

after prossess all CDrom Icons are Solved
