I love Excel and Access but I do not like word so I do not use it much.
One thing that annoys me is that it always wants to double space everything.
Another is that it wants page margins that take up half the page.
Can I set the default to single space and set up the margins so that they are right when I open a new page or do I just have to save a template and use it.
I thought there was default settings for this but I am just not finding them in the new version.

I hear you about MS Word.... a software with a mind of its own!

To set default margins in Word 2010:

Go to the Page Layout tab.

In the Page Setup group, click the 'diagonal down arrow' in the bottom right corner to the right of 'Page Setup'.

Select the Margins tab, if not the active tab.

Adjust all margins to suit.

Click the 'Set as Default' button in the bottom left corner and click 'Yes' to confirm.

To change line spacing:

Go to the Home tab and click the 'diagonal down arrow' to the right of 'Paragraph' in the Paragraph group, in the bottom right corner.

Select the 'Indents and Spacing' tab, if not already selected.

In the 'Spacing' group, select 'Single' in the 'Line Spacing' dropdown.

Click 'Set as Default' at the bottom of the Indents and Spacing window.

Click 'Yes' to confirm.

try this: a million. authentic-click in an empty record and choose Font. 2. opt for the font you want. 3. Make any transformations you want. 4. click the Default button. 5. click certain contained in the caution field that seems. 6. click ok. The web page Setup and Paragraph sort verbal replace boxes actually have Default buttons that works a similar way. that ought to do it.
