What's the difference between OpenOffice and OpenOffice.org?

I am doing a short brief about OpenOffice. I came across Openoffice.org. I know it's backed by Oracle/Sun. Is OpenOffice.org StarOffice? I could really use some help, Thanks.

OpenOffice and OpenOffice.org are the same exact thing.



the program AND the site are both called OpenOffice.org, but most people refer to it without the .org because it saves time and everybody already knows what you're talking about.



so yes.OpenOffice, OpenOffice.org, and StarOffice are all the exact same program.
