apple is evil, Micro$oft is greedy. I use GNU/Linux for everything (router, HTPC, file server, PCs).

I use Sabayon Linux on my main computer, and Manjaro on a little netbook. I am considering purchasing a cheap laptop or PC to give Arch Linux a whirl.
I chose these distros as they are both rolling releases.
The Browser of my choice is Firefox, however I also use both Chrome and Chromium.
I also use Android.

Linux is the only OS that can work anywhere. My only problem is that I have used Linux for so long that I can not work with Macs or Windows anymore...Either they just dont cut it, or you cant teach an old dog new tricks

I use Windows if I want to play games. I use Slackware for everything else. I would not touch Ubuntu with a ten foot pole, I avoid all Debian based distributions. Ubuntu is good for the kiddies and those that don't have a lot of technical experience. For the rest of us the *buntus really aren't all that great. Debian is an excellent distributions, but the ones based on it tend to have problems. Ubuntu likes to use bleeding edge libs, and sooner or later that bites you. Worse, the mirror maintainers often keep old packages mixed with the new, making it difficult for you to use more current packages if you don't know how to download and compile and install it yourself. Apt-get can be great for some, but for me it ruins the Debian based distributions. I don't need a package manager telling me what packages to use. But to each their own - if it works for you, then keep using it :)
PS: I've been using Windows for well over 20 years, and have used every version since Windows 286 same out. I don't like what Microsoft did to Windows 7, and I despise Windows 8.

I use Windows on the desktop, and UNIX for servers. My company uses Windows for both desktops and servers, for the sake of consistency. Neither I nor my company uses Linux, as it is unsuitable for desktops, raises compatibility issues with Windows in the corporate environment, and does not have an adequate support structure in place when problems arise.
And only kiddies use words like Micro$oft or Windoze. You never hear computer professionals talking that way, as they don't have emotional attachments to operating systems or computers.

I would never use anything but Microsoft Windows.
I am using windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit which
in my opinion is the best operating system that has
ever been created. I have been working with computers
now for more than 19 years.

I use Slackware. It's a gnu/linux district which has a philosophy of simplicity and minimalism at heart. While it's not good for beginners, if you use it, you learn Linux very quickly.
Try it out sometime.
