When I first set up my laptop, my media player gave me the option to have it as a little toolbar on the bottom of my screen. I didnt do it then, but I want to now, and I can't see how to do it!
Can anyone help?

What you're talking about is minimising Windows Media Player to a toolbar. Microsoft calls this the Mini Player mode, and if you go into Windows Media Player help (F1 key) and search for "Mini Player" it'll explain the following:

1. Right-click an open area of the Windows taskbar (such as below the system clock), point to Toolbars, and then select Windows Media Player.

2. Click the Minimize button.

The first step enables the feature and must only be performed once. To switch to mini Player mode in the future, simply perform step 2.

This feature is only available on select versions of Windows. For more information, see Special features.

For a full explanation on how to use the Mini Player, including excellent screenshots, see the Microsoft article referenced below.

I think that should answer your question. All the best.

RIght-click on an empty space on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen and go to toolbars then make sure windows media player has a check next to it. Open WMP and then minimize it and it should should show up in mini-mode in your taskbar.

first of all right clik you taskbar and chk off "lock the toolbar" option.

then again rite clik the task bar ,go to toolbars and clik "quick launch"

after that go to My Computer or Windows Explorer, click the icon for the program you want to add, and then drag it to the Quick Launch portion of the taskbar located next to the Start button.

like that u can add in all other icons also..

If your talking about the task bar then right click on the task bar and click properties, then choose the option "keep the taskbar on top of others"

Easiest: Top line 'View' - choose your mode.............you will get a skin about 2inch square, hit decrease on the top right and it will get even smaller...............
