Heya,

My sound and battery icon are missing from the task bar. I don't know how they've managed to disappear. Anyone know how to get them back?

I'm using a Toshiba Vista

Kind Regards,

Debbie

Go to control panel>notification area & select "show icons & notifications" for sound and battery icons.

First, right click on the taskbar and select Properties from the right click menu.

Taskbar Properties

Alternatively, you can go to the Control Panel and type the word 'taskbar' in the search box from the upper-right side. Once the search results are loaded, click on the link that says 'Customize icons on the taskbar'.

Taskbar Properties

The Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window will show up on your screen. Here, go to the tab called Notification Area. In the System icons section check the Volume box and power and click on OK.

Taskbar Properties

The Volume Mixer icon and battery will now show up in the notification area of your taskbar.

All the best

Go into control panel. And find sound and drag it into the task bar. Same with battery.

Start->settings->control pannel ->open "sounds and audio devices" and check "place volume icon on the task bar"
