How do I uninstall MS Flight Simulator X or any other program from Vista Home Basic?

I go to Cpanel and Programs. Some programs are there and the rest are not (which according to MS is because unlisted programs wasn't made esp. for Vista), which is fine. However, when I click on MS Flight Simulator X Demo, there is no option to uninstall. While some programs have this option. Anyone know how to work around this - Vista bug? I searched the directory and there is no uninstall file?

Also what are the recommended HDD requirements to have freed up so your system will run well? I think having 10 GB free at all times should be enough?

Just go back to XP... Vista sucks... it's compatible with nothing and can do anything. That's the best advice I can give

I would advocate towards purchasing any flight simulator sport except you've really started your formal pilot coaching. MS Flight Simulator isn't excellent, but it's a real sufficient simulation that should you spend a number of time with the game, you may increase some bad habits a good way to be hard to get rid of in the course of your exact flight training. Be aware of finding out the actual plane first. After getting mastered the true thing, then which you could go to the sport and practice your navigation and tactics. You cannot log the time spent to your flight sim, but which you can pre-fly your move-nation trips to make sure your headings and settings are within the ball park.

Another piece of Microsoft History. I think it was Excel 97. The flight simulator was embedded inside Excel - a special cntl-key combination launched the simulator. Why did they do this? to make the .exe bigger? because the programmers were having fun? who really knows, or cares, anymore. Just know that because Vista is such a large, complex piece of software that some small pieces are just stranded, annoyingly, inside. It's also possible that a special control was built into the simulator, and Vista wants that control but it wasn't worth the effort to carve it out of the flight simulator (this is my personal speculation).

Ignore it and move on is my advice.

Try looking in the folder where the programme is, often there will be an uninstall.exe in there
