Question:
How do I make a flash drive bootable using a NTFS or exFAT file system?

I want to install a Linux OS on my 64gb flash drive (such as Linux Mint or Kubuntu). I tried several different ways and times to do this using tutorials from http://pendrivelinux.com but none have worked.

I have previously installed Linux Mint on a 4gb flash drive, and it worked fine.

I'm pretty sure the problem I'm having with my 64gb flash drive is that it is not FAT32 formatted. My 4gb drive was FAT32, but my 64gb one is NTFS. I have tried reformatting the drive to exFAT, but that didn't work. It only gives me those two options when formatting, but when I tried to format from the command prompt to FAT32 it still didn't work.

I want to know how I can either,
a) Make my 64gb flash drive FAT32 formatted.
or
b) Install Linux Mint or Kubuntu on my 64gb flash drive using either NTFS or exFAT file system.

Thanks for anyone who can help.
