does any one know a good audio codec for windows media player?

a while back after downloading videos and movies from limewire that took hours i found i had the sound but no picture,i downloded a codec and it seems to work fine on everything.but recently ive dowloaded stuff only to find i have the picture but no sound.does any 1 know a audio codec to solve this problem.or can i use a different media player like the divx player,will that have sound or what?

I had the same problem, I down loaded the div-x converter and have not had any problems, i do not use the div-x player, my files play on media player
