Burn ISO to USB?

My CD Burner isn't working, so is there a way to "burn" the ISO image to my USB drive instead of my CD Drive?

You can use your thumb drive as a bootable device, and use an ISO to boot from it. The process is a bit lengthy, and if you check the link at the end of this answer you may be better able to do so. I personally haven't done so before, but what I have done is used the HP KEY DRIVE BOOT UTILITY to get bootable floppy images placed on a thumb drive and booted from them. An application called WINIMAGE (I've used it, but not for the purpose of making USB drive bootable) may be able to make your USB drive bootable. Be warned that using another file system on your thumb drive aside from FAT (not FAT32 or NTFS) may cause the drive to die earlier due to excessive access done to the drive (indexing with NTFS). If you want to make a DVD that will work on a common DVD player, you definitely need a burning software. Copying the movie as is directly to a new DVD it's not the right way to do it (If you do so your DVD player will not be able to play the video/movie properly).

The most reliable DVD burning program I used it Ashampoo Burning. It works with all types of videos and music (both with DVDs and CDs). Ashampoo is a very modern and professional software (you can also edit videos and create DVD menus)

use it as an iso file as a virtual cdrom. here is how.

http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php download that, and install. then in the system tray icon, right click the deamontools icon, surf to the iso file, and hit ok, then it will mount as a cdrom. I would recommend searching google for version 3.47, or email me a place to send it to you as it dont have that save now crap in it. Yes, it is legal for me to do this, it says so in the license.

It also works with any other cd imagine formats too. It is a great program, and I have been using it for years. makes games play a lot faster, and it emulates most of the protections on cd's no problem. It is intended for backing up your cd/dvds into iso or whatever. then play it from the hard drive or another drive. it works like a charm.



PS their current version has save now in it, and it can be uninstalled, but I would be happy to email you the older version that dont have that crap in it.

if ur flash drive is big enough use a cd-drive emulator(poweriso, etc.) and and load the iso file



its useful cuz u can use on any computer like the school comp

No need to burn anything...



Just use Daemon Tools



Go to google and type download daemon tools



This program will let you use that ISO and create a E drive (like a cdrom) GOod luck

Just copy and paste! If you mean using the USB Drive like a CD it won't work. Sorry!
