Question:
I've got a big problem with my Web browsers, could someone tell me whats going on?

This is a rather long winded explanation so please bear with me.

When I first got my computer I has an earlier Version of Internet Explorer as my Web browser.

But then for some reason it got to the point after a while where I couldn't even open IE without it saying it encountered an error and crashing.

so I decided to go to Foxfox instead.

Afterword I tried to get rid of IE files, yet there were some that wouldn't let me delete them no matter what I tried.

They would always say "I didn't have permission to delete them" or something similar.

So i deleted what I could and left the others, because I figured they weren't hurting anything.

But now, even though I've changed my default browser away from IE; at times it will still try to open if I click certain link, or open certain programs.

For instance the other day I downloaded a PDF that had a link to a video tutuorial.

Well when I clicked on the link it tried to bring up IE instead of my default browser.

Of course this immediately resulted in it sending up the error sign and crashing.

So now I can't see this video because it wont let me view it in any other browser than IE.

And then today I opened a program I have called Micro niche finder and tried to update to the newest version by clicking the downloads tab.

Once again it would only open in IE and resulted in a crash.

Most of my other software programs and media don't behave this way.
Whats going on?

1. Options

2. Advanced

3. General Tab

4. Click "Check now" to make your firefox the default browser.

Which means that it will use firefox to open any links from then on out.

Have you looked at Tools > Internet Options?

No, you haven't and that's the problem. A lot of users think that just because there are commnd buttons on a browser or email page creation and the like, they seem to think that it isn't for them.

Ha, they are there for good reason, and that's to customize the programs or applications like a browser.

Tools > Internet Options will bring up a dialog box, the very first one is to set your default browser(s) home page. Remove the one that refers to IE, leave the one(s) you like or add some if you need to if you should download any more browsers, just to be sure.

PS: You CAN delete any browser you want, but use Control Panel > Remove programs. Then right-click the file > delete.

You can also highlight the file (program) in Control Panel and then click the Uninstall button on the command bar, this method also clears the registry.

ok an ip address is what distinguishes your laptop from the only next to it and it has actual no longer something to do with protection or regulation or any government secret intelligence or the different ingredient of spying. while a working laptop or laptop connects to a diverse, which would be a distant unit or a server or has to characteristic or acquire some documents or some site visitors to do this the packets on a physique might desire to take transport of an address this is unique to the dial out word for each laptop so as that e-mails and issues that are sent over SSL or HTTPs and so on are in basic terms sent to the straight away indicated address. on the question of spying and how do they do this? ok there are 2 classic strategies wherein the united kingdom government supplies Police or all people alongside with close by government decrease than RIPA or the different crackpot rules truthfully act this is: utilizing some variety of application or some variety of application able to penetration previous the anti-virus application. interception quicker or later of the site visitors routes from the server out to the isp and previous the bastion gate from LAN to WAN, an directly to the internet. so how do they do it? properly there is packet sniffing and there is direct monitoring of the URL or ip address and so on. the only way that a working laptop or laptop may well be discovered is two strategies: the two the units UUID or if its transmission is on the GSM community then despite if dissimilar encryption is used previous the essential 3 section and diverse states alongside with DES and so on the area relies upon on the cellular and the gap of each and every cellular to the sign being sent. the different approach is that a right away address this is concerning a particular consumer or subscription that locates a router or port to a definite address. in short using the internet and on the spot is easy for the state to crack using fact of: the working equipment is extensive-unfold and all structures have the comparable. all browsers are precisely the comparable and use the comparable internet protocol suite. the skill and the approach of connection with the aid of an isp is the the comparable. desktops tend to be utilized in a static place. so ip address = unique address that pertains to a definite laptop.

Problem is you cannot get rid of some older IE in Windows. They are integral to the OS.

Try cleaning your PC using CCLeaner ( http://www.ccleaner.com ).

And then try to run your anti-virus program. you could have a malware in your system. Though I suspect it is more to do with your tempering the IE
